Our Faith in Action
Charities We Support – Putting Our Faith into Action
At Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School and Nursery, our Catholic faith is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that we are all called to follow in Jesus’ footsteps by showing love, kindness and compassion to others, particularly those who are most in need.
Through our commitment to Catholic Social Teaching, we encourage our children to recognise that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big difference. We are proud to support a range of local, national and international charities throughout the school year.
Our charitable work includes supporting Kensington Fields Community Centre through our Harvest donations, fundraising for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, taking part in CAFOD’s Walk for Lent, supporting Nugent Care, and raising money for the Royal British Legion through our Remembrance Day poppy appeal. We also support Mary’s Meals, helping to provide nutritious meals for children around the world, and the Fare Share Gardening Project, promoting care for creation, sustainability and support for our local community.
These opportunities help our children to put their faith into action, develop a sense of social responsibility and understand the importance of serving others. By working together as a school family, we aim to make a positive difference in our local community and the wider world.
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat.” – Matthew 25:35
Together, through faith, love and action, we can make a difference.
